Hi Friendly Souls,

Science tells us that everything in creation is made of energy — positive, negative, or neutral. And what I’m taking from that is how that relates to our emotional body and what we feel in response to anything we experience — a positive charge, a negative charge, or no charge at all — neutral.

In regards to nudity and my personal journey with our human body, where visually engaging with it used to be a highly, highly charged experience — almost unbearably so due to past trauma and the inability to extricate simple nudity from sexuality, and realizing that what we choose to do with our nudity is what makes it what it is — I see our bodies now — in their whole entirety — as the ultimate work of art.

This reality doesn’t change, only our response to it does, because reality itself is neutral. So charges and triggers are invitations to choose how we will meet the moment — will we expand to meet the charge and employ our curiosity to discover more wisdom? Or will we contract in fear and avoid what’s being asked to be met, only to have that trigger become more activated the longer we put off looking at it? There are only these two options and with the goal to evolve and reach neutrality, I believe that this work of befriending and desexualizing our bodies is the ‘charge’ of our lifetime.

With what I’ve traversed in my own inner landscape, at the depths I have touched the mass collective wound surrounding nudity and our bodies/sexuality only briefly, because it is too overwhelmingly large for one persons nervous system to handle alone. Because it is so vast, and so ‘charged’, to make any real headway on it that will result in true healing, groups are the answer, as no individual has the capacity to do it alone.

My teacher always talks about the power of groups and how each of us adding our perspective to the healing helps the wound transform more effectively and efficiently for ~all~ and with this photo project and the support from Collette Elosha during the Closing Day Brunch I am confident in our ability to shine a bright light where it needs to be shone. Every wound is simply looking for resolution, and through our attention, and love, we are the ones who make it so.

Keep in mind that these photos are your personal journey, which means that you are entirely in control of what, and how, you want your experience to be — what do you want to reveal? What is ready to be witnessed by both yourself and another to neutralize your ‘charge’? The exquisite and life giving full genitalia? The precious nude form of the body? Wearing something meaningful? I am honor bound to meet you in utmost respect, reverence and sacred acceptance for the vulnerable opportunity to meet and befriend your whole beautiful self, however it feels right to share it.

Our most intimate wounds and tender spots are surrounded by our most ferocious hurts and angers. To reach the deepest love, we must overcome the deepest hurts. I invite you to join THEMOVEMENT to heal collectively and to celebrate our beautiful bodies.
